I’m noticing that the easy cuts of meat like burgers and chicken are sold out during the quarantine. But some of the very yummiest are still there! I needed a brisket flat to make a Jewish braised brisket, but only whole packer briskets are available. I thought I’d do a photo sequence of how to break a brisket down, bbq style into point and flat, in case that might help somebody. Nothing is wasted. And this is enough meat to feed you for days. Jen’s Feel oh-so-good Juice with Fresh Turmeric

My husband and I run jog 5 miles 3 times a week and do kettlebells, bike, or yoga another 3. I remember reading years ago (probably Dr. Weil) that pineapple, garlic, and ginger were great for inflammation and joint health. Okay! Those are easy ingredients to keep in the rotation. Do they work? Well, in regular everyday life, are you really going to scientifically test things in isolation to know? No, of course not. They’re all tasty, and I’ve felt fine up til now, so I’m keeping them in. 😉 About a year ago my elbow started hurting. I tried to ignore it. But it continued hurting. Badly. Was it the kettlebells? Was it that I held my water bottle in the same hand every time I run? Was it because I’m forty-something and time is really unkind? Who knows?!
